Presentation of the film "Collective Factory" by Lorenzo Sandoval(ESP), and conversation about the magazine and the work of "United Eelectrnic Front" by Eduardo Balanza(ESP).


"Collective Factory" is an investigation based on the use and abandonment of factories in Alcoy. Through this plot, interconnected experiences of the collectivisations in the peninsular territory during the Civil War, the emergence of machine music while the factory fabric is abandoned, the relations between colonialism and industrialisation, and the almost total absence of anarchist art in museum collections, beyond a few concrete examples or graphic production, are dealt with.

Sandoval works as an artist and curator.He holds a degree in Fine Arts from the UPV and a Master in Photography, Art and Technology from the UPV (Valencia, Spain). He has received curatorial awards such as Inéditos 2011, the Can Felipa curatorial prize, and Nogueras Blanchard 2012. He has won the art prize 'Generación 2017' presented at La Casa Encendida (Madrid) and the 'V Beca DKV- Álvarez Margaride' for 'Shadow Writing (Algoritmo / Quipu)' at LABoral, Gijón, 2017. He was nominated for the 'Berlin Art Prize' in 2018 and the 'Premio Arte Contemporáneo Cervezas Alhambra 2020' and has presented 'Shadow Writing (Lace / Variations)' at Lehman + Silva Gallery in Porto and Nottingham Contemporary. Sandoval was part of 'Canine Wisdom for the Barking Dog. Exploring the sonic Halim El Dabh's Sonorous Cosmologies' curated by Bonaventure Soh Bejeng.

"United Electronic Front"
is a platform for visual artists, musicians, art critics, curators, sound researchers, sound engineering developers, mediators and guests, through which they publish and manage the fruit of their work. The central idea of the publication is to associate it with live performances and invite others to participate in its development.


Balanza graduated in Audiovisual Media in Spain, studied Documentary Film and Screenwriting at the International School of Film and Television in Havana, Cuba 1992-1993, and at the School of Visual Arts in New York in 1999. During 2017-18 he enjoyed the Leonardo research grant from the BBVA foundation and the ICA Murcia research grant, with residence at Spriten Kunstahll, Skien, Norway. He has exhibited at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Finland, Kiasma. La Conservera, Murcia. Bethanien Kunst Raum, Berlin. Sala Verónicas Murcia, and has been invited to festivals such as Benicassim, SOS, Escena Contemporánea Madrid, Manifesta 8, Festival La Mar de Músicas, Cartagena 2014, the autumn festival "Høst Punkt" in Skyen 2014-2019 in Norway, or the Örebro biennial in Sweden 2015 and participated in the last two tours of the exhibition "Punk, sus rastros en el arte contemporáneo" in MACBA in Barcelona and Museo del Chopo Ciudad de México, curated by David G. Torres. Since 2016 he is developing a research work on industrial complexes in the landscape and their social impact. He lives and works in Madrid.
